Fifth Bi-Annual 496TFS Rhinosaur Reunion
October 18th - 21st, 2018, St. Louis
The 496TFS Rhinosaurs held our Fifth Bi-annaul Reunion in St. Louis, Mo. Reunions HQs was the Drury Plaza Hotel, Chesterfield, MO. "Cargo" Larson, with Toni's able assistance from CA, planned and executed the reunion in true World's Finest fashion. High points of the reunion included hot Missouri breakfasts with eggs, pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy and more included with our rooms at the Drury. Private tour of the Boeing prologue room, briefing by Glen Larson, Vietnam F4 combat pilot and Boeing test pilot. The ladies toured the Missouri botanical gardens and everyone met for lunch at Amighetti’s on St. Louis hill. Other tours included the Anheuser Busch brewery, St. Louis Gateway Arch and Museum on the Missouri river front, a Forest Park Excursion that included the St. Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum, and the world-famous St. Louis Zoo. Squadron meeting guest speakers included “Grunt” Ewers, “Bijou” Gracy, “Beagle” Beatty, and “Four-Wheeler” Talbert. The reunion finished with a wonderful dinner at Bishop’s Post. If you missed the 2018 reunion, plan on attending the upcoming 2020 reunion. “Smiler” Eberhart is the POC. Keep checking back for dates and venue.
